It’s how our familiar world has shrunk to the size of our own homes. The outside world was out of reach.But not everything is so bad, there is a small gap among the grayness that whispers to us that soon everything will be ok

Like so many other people on this planet, during the spring quarantine I experienced anxiety for my family, my elderly parents and friends. The information space was overloaded with horrifying news, gossip and speculations. The uncertainty of the future was getting on my nerves and wearing me down.

Everyone needs personal space, where they can be themselves, alone with their thoughts, fears and dreams. During the pandemic, for many, this need has become increasingly sharp.

‘Melancholy’ is about being tired of new rules, feeling discouraged by the inability to live life to the fullest. Only bringing back memories from the long-gone past, brings pleasure. Perhaps, someday in the future, we can all find ourselves there again.

Each one of us has asked ourselves: ‘’Is this ever coming to an end?!’’ — We all are waiting for the troubling times to be over, but we still get distracted by outside issues, forgetting that the main exit from this anxious state is inside our own minds.

In the age when the new information comes in a form of an endless stream, the ability to process information has become one of the key aspects of well-being. We need to learn to see and clearly perceive what’s going on around us. Only then we can stop going in circles, hunched and blinded, and will be able to move forward with clear minds.

What goes on doesn’t matter. It is important to keep a calm, clear mind in every situation. The sights of nature: the sea, the coastal cliffs, the clear blue sky, have always brought me peace of mind.
